Surrender Monkeys
It’s a tightly packed English Premier League at this stage of proceedings – but as the top five begin to slowly break away from the pack, it’s obvious that the pretenders to the throne aren’t up to the task.
Liverpool FC are stuck at the top of the EPL table with their lead decreasing on a match-by-match basis simply due to the point that they are playing like a bunch of 3-point surrender monkeys, grinding out draw after draw both home and away.
Chelsea too are performing with all of the winning mentality of a bunch of school children, and with a club equipped with such an embarrassment of riches it is astonishing that World Cup winning manager Big Phil Scolari hasn’t managed to get the team firing on all cylinders 6 months into the job.
Of course with Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas beginning a 4 month lay-off , short of a surprise from Aston Villa the only obvious winner this season is 3rd placed Manchester United who currently have two games in hand over the leaders.
Same old story – unless Liverpool (or Chelsea) can raise their game, get back to winning ways (even if it means new signings in January) then it’s another year of dominance from Sir Alex Ferguson’s men, who themselves haven’t exactly hit previous levels of performance in the EPL so far this season.
